1. a firm decision to do or not to do something
It is a month into the year 2016 and for most, a month into their new year resolutions. Resolutions vary from saving money to even re-kindling relationships, with losing weight being the steady most consistent resolution among most of the population. If you are anything like me, there is nothing worse than to listen to someone talk about making big positive changes in their life and realize they lack to persevere. Whichever your firm decision to do or not to do something may be, the most important key factor to success is to stay focused and the next several methods may help one stay focused.
Making short-term easily obtainable goals is huge for reaching the vision of your ideal future. Being precise on what you want to accomplish will help you realize what you want in life instead of being lead astray. It also makes concentrating on efforts a lot easier and helps keep track of every achievement. Making action plans and putting them in writing has its benefits when making goals.
Reaching milestones is extremely essential and tracking progress will bring to light all the great efforts you put forth. It is easy to focus on your failures which in return, will make it even easier to give up. Tracking progress helps counteract focusing on the negative and lets you dwell in the positive so that you do not lose sight of what you want to accomplish.
I know many people who make goals, and then they procrastinate. The problem is that they lack optimism. Negativity tends to hold many things back and success is one of them so it is important to have an optimistic mind before making resolutions. Surround yourself with people that want you to succeed. If you want to lose weight, find a steady gym partner or join several weight loss support groups on Facebook. The main point is hem yourself with people with your same mind-set that can give you some peer pressure to stay on track with your resolutions. Also, reward yourself when you've reached a milestone, and then keep going!
"Make goals, track progress, and motivate yourself!"
Make 2016 the year your resolutions come true; make a statement! Prove people wrong and most importantly, prove to yourself that you are more than capable of achieving your desires.
